An Android phone connects to your VS with a MIDI cable and becomes its wireless adapter: tablets, iPads and phones control the console over WiFi, right in the web browser, with nothing to install. FAQ

Why VS_Remote

All the power of your VS, on a touch screen

A modern web console, inspired by today's digital mixers, that opens in the browser of any tablet or laptop. Nothing to install on the tablets.

Full wireless mixing

Faders, pans, sends, mute and solo for inputs, tracks, effect returns and auxes. Move it on the tablet and it moves on the console, and the other way round.

Effects, EQ & dynamics without menus

Every processor (up to 8, depending on model and boards) with every parameter in view and presets by name. Drag-to-edit EQ curve and, on the VS-2480, compressor and expander on every channel.

Visual routing

A diagram shows where your signal flows: inputs, channels, buses, tracks and outputs. Change routing with a tap and save it as profiles.

DAW mode

Tracks on a timeline, jog wheel, takes (V-Tracks) and the console's own markers, locators, Auto Punch and Loop, synced both ways.

Personal monitor mixes: MOREME

Every musician builds their own headphone mix from their phone: "more me" and "the rest of the band".

Projects & scenes

Every job as a named project: mix, effects, routing, regions, markers and monitor mixes. Plus scenes to recall the mix with a tap.

Backup & restore

Export projects, scenes, routing profiles, names, groups and mixes to a file, and import them on another device.

Always in sync

It reads the whole console on connect. Whatever you touch on the panel (faders, mutes, solos, routing, transport) shows up instantly on every screen, and it reconnects by itself if the WiFi drops.

Control only, never audio. Only commands (move a fader, play, mute…) and meter data travel over the network. Sound keeps flowing through your VS's usual connections: if the WiFi drops, the console keeps sounding exactly the same.

Input layer: channel names and colours, 48V phantom, pan, dB-scaled fader, meter and mute/solo. On the right, the FADER BANK.

Tracks with their OFF / REC / PLAY status, just like on the console, with real-time meters.

All 8 effect returns, each showing the loaded patch name.

The 8 aux masters, each named after its monitor.

Sends on Fader: tap an aux and the faders become the sends to that monitor (in orange).

Effect editor: algorithm, patch name and every parameter in real units (Hz, ms, dB).

4-band EQ plus filter, with a curve you drag with your finger.

Compressor and expander on every channel, with transfer graph and key-in.

Routing diagram: tap a channel to see which input feeds it, which buses it goes to and which track it records on.

DAW mode: tracks on the timeline, recorded regions, markers, punch (red) and loop (green) ranges, jog wheel and meter bridge.

The console's named locators: go to, move to the current position, rename or delete. Everything stays on the VS.

App projects: the active one on top and the list to load, overwrite, rename, link to the console's project or export.

24-channel meter bridge plus monitor and master, perfect for a dedicated screen.

Backup & restore: choose what to export and import it on another device, previewing what the file contains.

DAW mode

Your recording, like a modern studio

One tap on MIXER / DAW switches from the mixer to a timeline view. Perfect for recording without walking to the machine.

  • Stacked tracks with name, colour, status, mute, solo, fader and pan.
  • Jog wheel to move through the recording; tap the ruler to jump. The counter switches to time code by itself.
  • The console's own markers: create, rename and delete them from the tablet; the ones you drop on the VS show up in the app.
  • The 100 named locators and Auto Punch / Loop, with their ranges drawn on the ruler.
  • Takes (V-Tracks 1-16) per track: record another take and compare.
  • Regions of what you record, even when you hit REC on the console itself (VS-2480).
  • Jump between markers from a keyboard or a page-turner pedal too.

Every job, saved by name

You switch songs or clients all the time: VS_Remote keeps every job as a project on the bridge phone and brings it back complete with one tap.

  • The console's mix, effects and routing, plus regions, markers, names, groups and MOREME mixes.
  • New, save as, overwrite, rename and delete. App data saves itself: you never lose a take by forgetting to save.
  • Linked to the console's project: when you open another song on the VS, the app offers to load or create the matching one.
  • Export one project or all of them to back them up or take them to another studio.

See and change your console's routing

No more digging through routing pages on the console's display. VS_Remote draws the signal path and lets you change it with a finger.

  • Interactive diagram: inputs → channels → buses and tracks → outputs.
  • Input patchbay, track assignment for recording and bus matrix.
  • Effect inserts per channel, the source of each effect and the output patchbay.
  • Routing profiles: save "Band recording" or "Live show" and recall them with one tap.
  • Export and import profiles to take them to another studio.

Personal monitoring

MOREME: every musician, their own mix

No more "a bit more of me in the monitor, please". Each musician opens VS_Remote on their phone, picks their aux and builds their headphone mix.

  • Two simple controls: ME (my channels) and REST (the band).
  • Fine-tune channel by channel, in order and with names.
  • Mute ME or REST with one tap.
  • Named mixes saved for every show or rehearsal.
  • Each phone can only change its own aux.

We recommend a dedicated phone

Don't use your personal phone as the bridge: leave one phone just for the VS. An old Android you no longer use is perfect, or a cheap used one. It only needs Android 8 or later and a USB-C port that works as host (OTG). No SIM card or accounts are needed, just WiFi.

  • Always connected and charging, ready when you turn on the console.
  • No calls, notifications or other apps interrupting a show or a recording.
  • Battery and screen settings tuned only for the bridge.
  • Your personal phone stays free and private.

FAQ

How does it work, in short?

The VS has no WiFi or Bluetooth. How is it wireless?

The bridge phone does it. It plugs into the console's MIDI IN/OUT with a USB-MIDI cable and joins your WiFi. VS Remote runs on that phone and turns it into the console's wireless adapter.

Do I have to install the app on every tablet and phone?

No. The app goes only on the bridge phone. Tablets, iPads, phones and laptops just open an address in their web browser. Several can be connected at the same time.

Can I use a wireless (Bluetooth) MIDI adapter?

The MIDI adapter only replaces the cable between the console and the bridge phone, so each user picks the one they prefer. Today VS Remote works with USB-MIDI cables; wireless (Bluetooth) MIDI adapters will also be supported. Either way, VS Remote is the software that understands the VS and puts the console on your screens.

Does it work with iPad and iPhone?

Yes, as screens: iPads, iPhones, Android tablets, PCs and Macs all work in the browser. Only the bridge phone has to be an Android (8 or later, with USB-C OTG).

Does audio go over WiFi? Do I need Internet?

No and no. Only control messages travel over your local WiFi; the sound stays in the console's usual cables. A home router is enough, with no Internet.
