In short
- VS_Remote does not collect any personal data.
- We do not share or sell data to anyone.
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- It works inside your own WiFi network and does not need the Internet.
- Everything the app saves stays on your devices.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This policy applies to the VS_Remote Android app (package ar.vsremote), distributed through Google Play, and to the web console that the app serves to tablets, laptops and phones on your local network. VS_Remote turns those devices into a wireless control surface for VS series recording consoles over MIDI.
Contact for anything related to privacy: info@vs-remote.com.ar.
2. Data we do not collect
VS_Remote does not collect, transmit to us or store on any server of ours:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, address).
- Location, contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone data.
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs or usage statistics.
- Audio: the app never receives or transmits sound. Only control messages (faders, transport, settings) and level meters travel between the console, the phone and your tablets.
- Crash reports or diagnostics sent to us.
We do not have servers that receive data from the app, so there is nothing for us to share, sell or transfer.
3. What is stored on your devices (and only there)
To work, the app keeps some information in the bridge phone's private app storage. It never leaves your devices unless you export it yourself:
- Console settings, channel names and colours, groups, scenes, routing profiles, projects, markers and personal monitor mixes.
- The access PIN, if you set one.
- A local error log (errores.log) used to show problems on the phone screen. It is not sent anywhere; you can copy it yourself if you want to send it to us for support.
Tablets and laptops that open the web console keep small preferences in the browser (for example, which AUX mix is yours, the console model and the PIN so you don't have to type it again).
Backups are files that you download on purpose. They stay wherever you save them, under your control.
4. How the connection works
- The bridge phone connects to the console with a USB-MIDI adapter and runs a small web server (port 8080) on your local WiFi network.
- Your tablets and phones connect directly to that phone over your network. No data goes through the Internet or through our servers.
- Inside your local network the connection is not encrypted. Use a WiFi network you trust and, if other people share it, set an access PIN so only you can control the console.
5. Permissions and why they are needed
| Permission | What it is used for |
|---|---|
| USB / MIDI | Talk to the console through the USB-MIDI adapter. |
| Internet, network and WiFi state | Run the local web server for your tablets and show the phone's address and QR code. It is not used to contact external servers. |
| Foreground service (connected device) | Keep the bridge running while the screen is off, with a visible notification. |
| Local network (Nearby devices, Android 17 or later) | Let your tablets and phones on the same WiFi connect to the bridge. The app does not search for, track or locate other devices: it only receives those connections. |
| Notifications | Show that the bridge is active and its address. |
| Keep awake (wake lock) | Prevent Android from pausing the bridge in the middle of a show or a recording. The app does not request the battery optimisation exemption: it only reminds you and opens the settings so you can do it yourself. |
The app does not ask for location, camera, microphone, contacts or file access.
6. Third parties
- The app does not include advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not share data with third parties.
- Google Play handles the download, installation and updates of the app under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- The link to www.vs-remote.com.ar inside the app only opens your web browser.
7. Children
VS_Remote is a tool for audio professionals and enthusiasts and is not directed to children. In any case, it does not collect data from anyone, including children.
8. Deleting your data
Since we do not hold any of your data, there is nothing to request from us. To delete what the app saved on your devices:
- On the bridge phone: uninstall the app, or go to Settings → Apps → VS Remote → Storage → Clear data.
- On tablets and laptops: clear the site data for the console address in your browser settings.
- Backup files: delete them wherever you saved them.
9. This website
www.vs-remote.com.ar does not use cookies or tracking. To know how many people visit the site we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits anonymously, without cookies and without identifying you (pages viewed, approximate country, device type and the site you came from). It only remembers your language choice in your browser. If you tap the video button on the home page, the video is loaded from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) only at that moment. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to download them. If you write to us by email, we use your message only to answer you.
10. Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and its date before publishing that version.
